Almost 10 years ago Chelsea Grin put out one of their best albums to date(IMO). They are currently on tour in support of that album, Desolation Of Eden. This is a band that has been (and still is) on the forefront of the deathcore scene. The show was held at Revolution in Amityville, NY, and it goes without saying that Chelsea Grin had the whole place in a uproar. I've seen them live (twice) a few years ago and unfortunately was not that impressed, clearly they have stepped their game up (despite the loss of lead guitar player Jason Richardson). I was pretty shocked with how tight they were, and they had a really good live sound. But the most impressive part of the set was their drummer, Pablo Viveros Segura. His playing was right in the pocket, and his backing vox bring new life to the bands live show. In conclusion, I will be seeing them next time they roll through our area. I've been seeing a lot of bands doing these "10 year anniversary" tours for their albums. It's pretty awesome to see band doing this, and I think it's an awesome way for a band to show support to their long-time fans.
